Trying to decide which MAVERICK lettering to buy and which color.. Silver? Chrome? or Stainless Steel Letters? to blend in my Shadow black truck with the Carbonized Gray topper. I really, really like it..and love the height of the glass door opening to not hit my eyes for this 6'-3" guy. Visibility is much better than hoped for also.

I'm going to try and get a few more pictures and a short video of the connection gap to the back of the cap and of the inside finish.
This is the design I have been waiting for. I just went to the Jason website and the Maverick isn't listed as an option on their website. What am I missing?

Yeah, I forget the trick to have it show up.. S-cargo out of Loveland Colorado has pictures of a couple of Mavericks they've done. And that's where mine was done.. They can get them in most any of the colors.

I have not seen an update to this thread. I have an A.R.E MX pre-order placed through a dealer in southern California. They contacted A.R.E. for me and A.R.E informed my dealer that they were not taking orders yet.

Here is what I was quoted:
ARE MX Shell for Maverick $2575
OTR Black Paint $479 (my Maverick is Shadow Black with the Black Appearance Package)
Front tilt-down picture window $110
Dark headliner $150
Roof tracks only $230
2 lock rear door $30
Side sliding windows
No interior lights
Labor $90
Total = $3664 installed and before CA taxes

I will post pictures as soon as it is installed. They won't give me a lead time or delivery estimate since it is a pre-order.

@William Tell I tried to order a Jordan top since I think it looks great. Yet, none of the dealers listed on their site in my area carry Jordan anymore. I heard good things about their products and bad things about their support.
Not sure about customer service from Jason toppers.. But S-cargo out of Loveland was a great experience and very fair price for the quality.

I guess I'll have to ask around this area to see who can get it. Colorado is a little too far to go get a canopy.

If you find someone in the NW that can get them post back here. I'm in Oregon and looking too

Thank you for remembering to post the picture.

Anyone else find the configuration a little bit odd? I would think someone would want the window on the passenger side to help with blind spot visibility. Yet, having the tool box on the curb side might make sense.

I wish we had more pictures of the area where the shell is shaped to the back of the cab. If someone doesn't beat me to it, then I will be sure to post lots of pictures of the shell before and after installation -- once it arrives.

If anyone is watching this thread, I found out today that my MX-series is in production with an anticipated ship date of April 4. It will take about 2-weeks for it to arrive in southern California from Ohio.

I placed a configuration preorder and paid a $200 deposit on 2022/12/28.

Configuration: ARE MX Shell; Black OTR (Line-X exterior instead of paint); front tilt down picture window; dark headliner; roof tracks only; no interior light; 2 lock rear door; side sliding windows (opening window/doors or solid doors were not available).

Cool thanks. We have a delicate dance to plan. We live in Hawaii and ordered from Granger in Iowa and can only get a cap while its on the mainland before we drive it cross country to ship from LA.

I am sure Granger could arrange something. The production lead times are the issue. I ordered mine in December and without knowing when my truck would be produced. I received my Maverick on January 7. Thus, it worked out well.

Granger said they could give us a month and the nearest cap dealer said they could hold on to the cap for 2 or 3 weeks. I also have the family pickup option out of Ohio. Just a short drive. Getting affordable airfare is also a variable. Originally had hoped it would have been ready last month when we were on the mainland for a wedding. Itll work out one way or another.

Everyone is different, but I'd consider how much you actually look over the bedside while driving. I don't. At most, I look out the rear passenger window, and that's only on occasion. I stuck some blind spot mirrors on my side mirrors, which virtually eliminates blind spots except for a V-shaped area extending maybe 10' behind.

I have an ARE DCU on my Nissan Frontier and opted for a tool box on the driver side, full-length door on the passenger side, sliding front window, and a window with security screen on the rear door. The rear window is basically useless and I wouldn't order that option again. It's pretty hard to see anything through two tinted windows, one clear window, and a security screen.

The tool box on the driver side makes sense for me since I usually grab whatever tools in one shot from the street side. Whereas I'm using the full-length door on the curb side to reach into the bed and secure or remove straps or push materials or boxes, which takes longer than grabbing tools. Having the door on the curbside is safer in that regard, and standing on the curb lets me reach in easier/further.

Downside is that the tool box, gas tank, and driver are all on one side, so the truck sits half an inch lower on that side with a full tank of gas. And doing one-wheel-peels is pretty easy when making right-hand turns.

Next time around, I'd get a front window only so I could glance at the load occasionally, but even then I'd consider getting four solid walls and using a camera instead.

If I got a Maverick, I'd definitely only consider an ARE DCU, but DCUs are function-over-form for sure. The flat roof area on that MX looks really short, which means that roof racks and ladders and stuff will be more wobbly. The ARE DCU will allow the roof rack bars to be spread maybe a foot further apart. I also like DCUs since the back door is perfectly vertical, so I can stack boxes against the tailgate and up to the ceiling and not have to worry about the door not closing.
