You replied very quickly. Thanks. How far did you have to take it apart. I'd prefer not to remove the whole bumper. Thanks!2-2.5 hours in total. Might have been able to go faster but I was being pretty cautious. I was also able to not have to fully remove the bumper.
I still did most of the steps in that bumper removal video. Awesome! I may give it a go on Tuesday. Thanks. Any other tricks that would be nice to know. Did you wire the lights to the left marker light?I still did most of the steps in that bumper removal video. smaller screws are for the “wings” on the grill bar and letters. Longer screws are for reattaching one of the OEM shroud pieces to the top (they want you to replace the original bolts with the screws). Putting truck on jack stands and taking the front wheels off allows easier access. Definitely wire lights to drivers side marker. Gentle on any of the plastic tabs that need to unclip, they are fragile (managed not to break any on mine)Awesome! I may give it a go on Tuesday. Thanks. Any other tricks that would be nice to know. Also becareful with the Radiator cover. It is tricky to get out. List price is 144 to replace it, luckily a friend works in a parts department and got one ordered for me for 80 bucks.smaller screws are for the “wings” on the grill bar and letters. Red on the grill to green on the drivers side marker. Black to blackThe project is underway right now. I have the wings and letters attached. How did you connect the harness to the marker light? What were the wire colors you matched up with. Thanks. Going out to jack the truck now.
Thank you. Is your truck an XL or XLT? When I pulled off the wheel well cover, there is a black square avionics part seemingly in the way of the screws I need to get to.Red on the grill to green on the drivers side marker. Black to black
XLT. Yeah the drivers side has that computer box. Think I used a ratcheting wrench to reach the bolts on that sideThank you. Is your truck an XL or XLT? When I pulled off the wheel well cover, there is a black square avionics part seemingly in the way of the screws I need to get to.
Thanks. I'm watching the video again, and I see where he's finding those bolts. I'm taking my time with this, and a friend is on the way over to help out.XLT. Yeah the drivers side has that computer box. Think I used a ratcheting wrench to reach the bolts on that side
