That's my fear...I am a 10/9/21 cancelled order still sitting at priority 2 with no VIN or production week. Feel like Ford is going to let me down again after 14+ months
You're at Priority 2 but have no VIN or production week? You have called Ford CSR and asked for status, right? I ask only because I've never received a production date and VIN from Ford via email like I did the first time. I strictly obtained that info by calling 800-392-3673 and requesting all info (including Private Offer Program #, Private Offer Certificate #'s, Delivery ETA, etc.). After establishing so many expectations via email in the past, only to rescind those updates later on, I'm wondering if Ford decided to quit sending out emails until status is 100% solid? Or perhaps others have been receiving emailed notifications that I have not?

They would likely have more takers if they offered free AWD with a hybrid to EB switch. Not nearly as remarkable a difference between the two FWD versions in terms of vehicle capability; but that AWD opens the door to other options up (4k, Lariat w/ CP360+, etc.)

@FMC, are you reading?
I agree, I would switch for that.

Could I ask what type of driving you do mostly and what is your average fuel milage?
I am in the same mindset as the person you asked (i.e., we have an EB with a hybrid on order and it will be hybrid or non Ford product). We get 24-25 mpg mixed hwy/local.

I thought the hybrid was standard. If they were planning on making that many ecoboosts why didn't they make that the standard powertrain? Why should be have to switch to get a truck. How about you don't release a product that you know you can't deliver. Why didn't Ford just wait till the world was unscrewed to release this vehicle? I have so many qusetions.

@Ford Motor Company got themselves into this cluster. They should have handled things differently. From a customer service stand point, they (not dealerships) should have prioritized unfulfilled MY2022 orders.

What should have happened:
MY2022 ends as it did - with both scheduled (VIN) orders and non-scheduled (no-VIN) orders.
MY2023 begins - Both cancelled (VIN) orders and non-scheduled orders should have been rolled over by Ford Corp (not the dealerships). Then those orders get scheduled and the majority built (based on constraints).
MY2023 "Job 2" - Order banks open for brand-new (not a MY2022 roll-over) 2023 orders to fill in what can still be built.

I certainly would feel better having waited 419 days so far with a car from 2003 that has 207,000 miles and an interior that is deteriorating around me.

shoulda, woulda, coulda...

If if's and but's were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

I read a lot of posts on this site and don't comment often but have to add I'm a bit frustrated as well. I ordered the Lariat Lux hybrid with CP360 and CPA360 as well as SIBL. I removed a few other items but the SIBL was running under capacity and I decided even if it takes a little longer to have it built, it's one less thing I need to worry about after it arrives to dealership. Now Ford in their infinite wisdom says hey, we're under so let's throw this in a package deal. While a nice "offer", did they not realize or consider that so many people might take them up on this offer that the SIBL will become a constrained item again? So now I'm sitting at a PC 11 at my dealership (next in line) wondering whether having the SIBL will be an issue when they actually/finally preview and try to schedule my build.

That said, I do think it was great of Ford to offer the hybrid to EB switch! I have seriously considered the switch but I do a lot of driving and have a friend who has had his hybrid about six months so I'm not switching from hybrid to EB. :)

Good luck to all!

My two cents worth/opinion/pure speculation:

Nothing's changed here. Ford ended up rolling over x# of hybrids because of a (temporary) parts shortage. Parts came in, they have since leaned on suppliers heavily (OMG, we've got tons of hybrid orders!) and those parts will arrive... eventually. In the meantime, they can see far enough out to know by early/mid March, they will reach the end of their EB retail orders, and maybe/maybe not, the hybrid parts arrive by then, to keep the plant humming. So why NOT open possibility for hybrids to convert? End of story, I just don't think it's all much more complicated than that, and I speak from some experience with JIT scheduling in a plant.

Exactly. Ford does something reasonable and gives people the chance to switch from a decent risk of not being built to almost certainly being built. And they get roasted for it.

And these posts of giving away free AWD or a discount, why would Ford do that? If you want to roll the dice, do it. If not, switch. Ford will make an Ecoboost and sell it either way. Just a matter of if it's for you or dealer stock.

My order already contained the Cargo Management System, so when I added the $495 Bed Liner, I didn't get anything extra for free. I actually wanted the bed liner anyway, so no biggie. FYI, something to consider if it hasn't been noted in this thread. Sorry if I'm restating it.

I have a Tremor Lariat Lux. Package with Co-Pilot360 Assist Package. If you all could wait to change your orders until after mine is scheduled it would be greatly appreciated haha.

Ford - "We are transitioning an all electric fleet." Except for hybrids apparently. And having less amenities makes the XL more constrained. Makes perfect sense. Must be the steel wheels being the constraint item. So. Much.BS.
When mudflaps are a constaint can steelies be far behind?

From what I’m reading here, only those on this forum will even know about these changes and offers. Dealers usually don’t have a clue. Do you really think sales consultants will be reaching out to all their customers? Because they don’t check FMC Dealer daily notes. In my previous position, I would check FMC Dealer as least every other day. So much info on that site. Stick with watching “Ford Video Guy”, one of the most informed.
I had to send the memo to my dealer because he had no clue. I added the SIBL and cargo package.

So what are the chances that my XL EcoBoost will get built? (see my sig for my build details)

I guess I need to call long McArthur tomorrow and ask where I stand
I believe most EBs will be built since the take percentage was so low. But who knows for sure.

FYI, my EB XL with copilot and hitch was scheduled last week. I waited a year with a hybrid and switched to EB at rollover for this very reason. Hybrids were a problem last year and I didn't see it getting better anytime soon.

I feel bad for my dealer. They are trying to accommodate me, but with the ordering system trailing the announcement they don’t know what to do since the SIBL/61D discount isn’t reflected yet.

I just sent them the memo since those doesn’t get around the dealerships.

I still have the $335 “cargo management system mounte” on my order in addition to the $225 61D. No idea what that $335 is. Any ideas?
