Been through car wash twice. They come off with my nail but way too time consuming to do them all that way.
. Is there a safe method that won’t scratch?

I think you just need to hand wash em, maybe do a couple pre-soaks with the hose(or bucket given you may not have hose hooked up for winter) to loosen em up possibly with some car soap. Then once softenend they may come off just fine. Just stay away from that tree!!

I want to tell you to try mineral spirits, but have no idea what that can do to the paint?
Goo-gone might be less harsh, I've had luck with WD-40, but never tried on a new vehicle?

You may want to give this a try mixed at the Aggressive or probably the Xtreme concentration levels. I used it at the Xtreme level before doing a fresh detail/wax job and it does remove old wax on the vehicle without harming the paint. Just know that you Will Have To DO a fresh WAX JOB with whatever type wax you desire afterwards. I do not use it for normal car washes, for normal washes I've always used Meguiar's Gold Class car wash but I'm currently changing over to a new foam cannon/pressure washer setup.

Try the extreme bug an tar remover. Safe on paint. You may have to spray it on and let it sit for 5 minutes before scrubbing with a microfiber towel. Did a big job on the front end of my wife's car just last night. It does take some elbow grease, but it works. Best of luck!

Note to Self: Don't park under that tree anymore ;)

I’d try a little “cleaner wax”. The very mild abrasive in it should polish off the stain, plus the most minor scratches. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Lots of good advice here so nothing to add in that regard, but I do have one piece of advice though. Get a chain saw and cut that damn tree into fire wood. :)

Naphtha and microfiber. You can thank me later.

Seriously, naphtha will not hurt the finish and should be the first step before abrasives.
Claybar or other micro-abrasive (Scratch-X) would be step two if anything were left behind.

Always start with gentlest option.

Have to ask, before going google, naptha? As in fells-naptha, the soap?
That stuff is the bomb for poison ivy treatment, but guessing you mean something different

Naphtha is a mild solvent found in the paint section of hardware or home stores.
it is basically lighter fluid, like used in a Zippo and interchangeable although less expensive if bought as a paint supply

Thanks, feel like a goof. Maybe reading the label of the bottle of lighter fluid would have helped (use it for putting on golf club grips) and ill have to check which is cheaper next time I need some if they're the same???
