DA doesn't get any better than this. Not having an aftermarket intercooler is hurting. IATs skyrocket in this truck.

Does the Mav have grill shutters over the cooler?

That's a good 0-60 time! I know from the ST community that the stock intercooler is pretty much just a paperweight. The best upgrade I did on my Focus was a 3.5" FMIC. Charge temps went from 150+ degrees during pulls with stock intercooler to only 2-3 degrees over ambient air temperature with the upgraded intercooler.

Did it improve your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times?

The biggest difference is that it eliminates heat soak so you can do back to back pulls and not loose any power due to the ECU pulling timing. You wont notice a big difference on a single run but during back to back runs you will definitely notice the cooler temps effecting your performance.

There are grill shutters in front of the intercooler. They are an extension down from the radiator shutters. I had to remove mine when I installed my RS intercooler.

Yup those need to get thrown in the trash. I think you can just pull the shutters and leave the shroud and actuator so no codes.

I agree. I wonder if the high IATs are because the shutter is closed most of the time?

I took the whole shroud out because of the physical size of my intercooler. The upper set is still intact, so I don't have codes.

It isn't hurting intake temps, although I do notice in cold temps it takes longer for the truck to warm up. They are not a bad thing in cold climates!

Side note Deerslayer1980, idk why mine seems to run so quick, but full weight on the base 93 tune from 5Star with no revisions, I just did a 4.98. So DP and intercooler must be putting in work, even with the factory exhaust in place!

4.98 is unbelievable! I need an intercooler no doubt.

Lol and some believe a DP has no benefit on a stock turbo Smdh. Nice!
