What things do you use with your 110v 400w outlet? Went camping last month thinking I would be able to use it for a few things. I have an old Milwaukee tools drill/flashlight combo set and Milwaukee tools job site radio. Thought it should charge the battery for it, nope! Kept tripping the breaker 😢 was hoping to use the flashlight and radio. I was able to charge my 12 volt roadside jump box and 7" portable TV. But those were the only other things I brought that required 110v. What is your list of things that actually work?

Found this single cup coffee maker that meets max voltage specs and have used for camping.

I've charged my work laptop a few times with the in-cabin 120V 400W. It's also nice to plug in a high-amp cell phone charger there if you actually have it handy, use this on trips when my wife and son are putting in some serious hours of screentime while I'm doing all the driving.

In the bed the 400W is a big limitation but I plugged in some lights once and a fan another time. What's an even bigger limitation is that deep sleep will kill that outlet within 15-30 min...

I tried a sawsall. Nope, it runs very slowly. It does charge my laptop. My Makita 18V charger works but the engine needs to be on most of the time.

Powering a laptop has been my use for inverters in the past.
When you get the inverter it switches you from a 12v outlet in the back to two USB ports and the 120v. Having two more USB ports will be handy as well. and the 120v would let you use some fast chargers that cant be powered by a 12v.

I have some portable radios that charge from 120v, but I don't plan on doing that much. Also a portable powered ice chest, and yes you could do that with 12v but that would be more wiring to add and use up a port.

I have an external 12v to 120v converter and mostly I will be glad not to need to drag it along and waste space keeping it somewhere.

I see the 120v as low cost and useful some times but not often. If it cost more or would delay my build I would drop it.

Did you actually try the coffee maker, thought the power port didn’t like resistance ( heat ) devices
Yes. I’ve used it a few times. It worked fine. I also use a bean grinder that I plug into the 400w bed outlet so I can brew with fresh ground beans.

I think the TRUCK circuit that powers the inverters is 600 watt.

I'm curious if we could pull 300w from the bed and 300w from the cab at the same time. Just not go over 400w from a single location. But I've not had the motivation to try yet.

Anyone know how many amps the 110v inverter can put out? A friend told me my Milwaukee tools battery charger may pull too many amps.

it's rated at 400W so if it's really pulling 110VAC that would be 3.6A. Range of 3.3 - 3.6A.
