Well I now have a dilemna.. I have a 2023 order XLT FWD EB Luxury package atlas blue with COPILOT..I have test driven 2 mavericks locally at 2 different dealers. ONE IS CYPERORANGE HYBRID XLT FWD With Lux PKG. and TOW PACKAGE no other options sale price( not really a sale) $32830...another is an XLT HOT PEPPER RED AWD EB with LUX PKG.. MOONROOF, COPILOT 360, for $37550..both marked up $5000 from MSRP..which one if any would you choose? If I decide to get the 2022 I wont pay more than 1K over MSRP for sure..otherwise Ill wait for MY23. I need to decide tonite because im sure others are looking at them too.

The decision will likely be made for you by them not accepting the $1k over. But since the hybrid is the better option and Cyber Orange is a rockin' color, I'd say that one.

Edit to add: No tow package available on hybrid. But they can tow 2,000lbs.

well then ill wait for my 23.. I cant imagine people actually paying 5k Over MSRP even in this market. I remember i could get down from MSRP 10% and they would take the offer.. but I know its different now.

Unless your order has a signed buyers order ( most of us took good will and word ) you may see a markup by the time the MY 23 is delivered if Ford raises prices mid model year again.

My dealer did not give me price protection, so my cost is 2k higher than my initial invoice. Knowing that, I would of probably frowned a little less at an ADM that I was going to get stuck with ultimately anyway, and have gotten my Truck a year earlier give or take a few months.

Hybrids can't have a tow package, so I assume you mean the trailer hitch.

Anyway, I would go with the Hybrid. XLT with Lux for $32,850 is not bad at all. Yes, I know waiting for it will get you at MSRP, but the wait could be a year or longer. I would keep your order open as well. For 5K you get it now. I've seen MANY mavericks on the used market with 5,000+ miles on them going for 10K over MSRP. Plus, Hybrids are way more in demand, just look at how many were ordered in the 5 days the banks were open. It will retain it's value a lot and you can always sell it for more then $32,580 if you want your EB when it comes in next year (maybe).

Here is a screen shot of a used Mav going for 44K. Yes, this is an extreme case, but many used Mavs are going for 36k to 38k and again, those are USED. A lot are going for 40k+

Sounds like arguing semantics at this point. It's a package that contains the hitch and 4-pin wiring, so the vehicle can tow. It's not 4k tow and OP didn't refer to it as such.

I mean this with the best intentions but you’re wasting you’re time with offers like that.

I got the soft tri-fold. Works great and leaves plenty of open room should you need to haul anything taller than the top of the truck bed level. Here is mine from rear view.

True, and the used car market has been dropping since May. That will help stabilize prices. there may not be any ADM's on run of the mill new vehicles like the Maverick by spring. Higher interest rates are helping reduce the vehicle buying sprees.
