Since velocity blue and rapid red are no longer offered does that affect the resale of those 2022 mavericks from here on in?

Shouldn't really make any difference every year Ford shuffles colors. By the 24 model those colors could be back and cactus and area 51 could disappear.

That was my point, limited edition anything tends to sell for more than non limited edition.
Not really a limited edition. There will probably be more VB Mavericks than CO ones, even though VB was just for one year. That doesn't make CO a limited edition.

But all Mavericks should have strong resell.

If you wanted a limited edition. Should have ponied up ordered a Shelby 500 Mustang Heritage Edition those will be worth a few bucks going forward.

Maybe a Z06 C-8 corvette.

Blue Mavericks maybe not.

Just because something wasn't advertised as limited doesn't make it so. I am taking the position that these are indeed limited edtion and anyone who ordered these colors won the lucky limited edtion lottery without knowing they even entered it. Unless Ford reintroduces these colors again in MY2024 or later they are unique unobtainium from here on in. Don't make the mistake of limited and desirable being one and the same.

Could have fooled me reading various threads on this site.
New car buyer preferences and used car buyer preferences are not the same.

When you're buying new, you tend to expect to have your pick of all the options available from the factory.

Buying used, you tend to understand you're not likely to find exactly what you want available when you're looking to buy, so you'll need to compromise. If you're looking for a used Ford Maverick and one becomes available, but it's Atlas Blue instead of Velocity Blue, the average buyer isn't going to sweat it.

But if you're buying new, they'd want to get their preferred colors and options.

Yes the VB I think in the future should be worth a bit more ? but yes mileage and condition matters tho for example. who cares if it is rare paint if the paint is all flaked off and rusted. LOL
