Silly somewhat unrelated question- What's the point of adjustable/Tilting headrests ? thx
Safety like someone said up above.

Also when I rented a Taurus on a road trip from IL to FL, it was really nice to tilt it forward at points and have my head straight while leaned back a bit. One of those things I never missed in a car but having it made the long drive more comfortable.

This news made my XL decision concrete! I was going to change rims anyways, so after adding the 360-copilot to my XL, I get the adjustable motorized side mirrors AND free Cruise Control. woop woop. Could care less about the plastic finish on side mirrors or "Auto-lock for bed". Saving 2k in the process, and frankly I think the XLT finishes on inside are chaotic.. not sure i care for orange bin and white sections on black chairs. looks unfinished. XL all the way baby.

Thanks for your reply.

Was there a way of knowing this by reading the 2023 Price List?

So, am I correct in saying I need to order code 54L XLT Luxery Package to get the power driver’s side seat?
As noted previously, the price list is a price list. It even notes in the column on the left that
"AVAILABLE ON ALL
MODELS UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED"

The order guide is your guide to options that require another option.

For instance, you'll note that the 8-way power driver seat appears under XLT Luxury Package and standard on Lariat. There is a section at the bottom that lists fleet-only options, including the power driver seat on all trims.

Man ohh man.......that would make my decisions really hard. There is no way in hell I am ordering a Lariat Luxury. But I do really want CoPilot360. I wont totally bail on the Maverick if it can't happen lower than Lariat Luxury....but I won't be happy. And think of the potential resale value for any 2022 lower trim that made it down the line with CoPilot360 installed on it. Some folks really highly value that set of features and are going to be looking for it when these hit the used market in the coming years.

What about all the "rollover folks" with lower trims that wont be able to even ask for CoPilot on their 2022-2023 new order.....man.....sucks for them.
I am honestly glad I sold my XLT Maverick for a profit with the amount of shit ford is pulling on the 2022/23 order.

Copilot 360 should still be a stand alone package W/Adaptive cruise for the 2023 and beyond. It seems like they are charging more while taking more away from the lower trim. I may go back to ford at some point but not tor awhile. Planning to do a 9k mile review post at some pount

Wasn't as bad of a situation as I was thinking when I made that comment. CoPilot360 is still available as a standalone option on all trims. They did strip out some of the features into the "Assist" level, but since I am sticking to an XL, I don't care.

Between the private offer and added cruise control on xl I’m really bummed mine got scheduled and isn’t getting rolled over
In your shoes, I would not sweat it too much. From what I've seen elsewhere on this forum, adding CC to your XL is pretty straightforward and inexpensive. Beats waiting for weeks / months / years for a '23 order...

Honestly I feel the same. I was kinda torn between XL and XLT. I ended up ordering the XL and am perfectly fine with paying 2k less.

The only negative that I can see it the loss of Velosity Blue.

So, to make sure I'm reading this correctly, on my XLT I have to go with the XLT Lux and cannot order Option 90K alone. (Unless I qualify as a "Fleet Purchase").

[/QUOTEIf these %’s are correct, it is disconcerting that Ford intends to build only 35% of MY2023 Mavs as hybrids.

First, what is the source of these estimates?

2nd, why would a Ford customer want to wait 6-12 months for a Mav gas jobber? There are plenty of good options for a small truck which is available at dealers which buyers can get now or in short order — Ranger, Tacoma, or Colorado.

3rd, I think that the reasons customers want a hybrid are:
- great gas mileage
- reliability of a hybrid truck (Ford has been building trucks for 100 yrs and building hybrids for over a decade)
- concern for the planet

Finally, I want a small hybrid vehicle to replace my 2016 hybrid (Ford CMax) and I want a truck to cart things around.

Show me where you can buy a new one of those you mentioned (in 4WD) for under $30k. Heck, it's hard to find them used below that.

CoPilot 360 is different than the CoPilot360 Assist package. Regular CoPilot 360 is just blind spot monitoring and lane keep.
and on the XL you get the power mirrors if CoPilot 360 is ordered.

Silly somewhat unrelated question- What's the point of adjustable/Tilting headrests ? thx
Aside from the safety discussion earlier (and I agree on all those points), a HUGE factor on the adjustable / tilting headrest is for people who have had neck or back surgery. My wife had a couple of vertebrae/discs in her neck surgically repaired, and because of that has to sit very upright to be comfortable.

About 80% of the vehicles built today "assume" the person will be sitting in a reclined position, and have a fixed headrest that is angled forward so as to be in a "safe" position (close to back of head) for that "typical" semi-reclined seat back position. But if you bring the seat-back to a more "upright" position, the headrest now angles forward and down, pressing against the back of your head and forcing your neck to bend significantly.

For my wife, this is painful after a very short drive (5-10 minutes), and becomes excruciatingly painful by the time she's in that seat for an hour. Forget about driving long-distance trips in any of those cars or trucks. I've finally learned to not even bother looking at any vehicle that doesn't have this adjustable headrest angles, because she will be unable to ride in it. I actually took the headrests from one of our "long-term" vehicles to a specialty shop and had the slide-in mounting posts bent to reduce the forward leaning angle. Of course, they had to remove all the "upholstery" and padding to bend them, then heat-treat them to give them the proper strength, then re-mount all the "padding" stuff... It cost almost $1K to have that done.

So I'm pretty "stoked" that my Maverick will have this feature! (After 43 years with her, I'm still every bit as much in love with her as ever, and I like it when she goes places with me!)

Do you have a qualifying fleet registered with Ford (e.g. 5+ new vehicles in the last year for your business or 15+ total in the fleet, regardless of make)? If not, you do not have a fleet, and those options are fleet-only.
