Apparently. Though this seems awfully small to me, if it's an issue you should take it up with Ford. They did say that they might omit some features and/or install them later. Call them on it.

They promised several months ago that they would supply hybrid buyers with a collection of FITS accessories to make up for the long delay. I waited nine months, but I haven't heard any more about that either. Communication has been Ford's biggest failure during the past 12 months.

Maybe should have just taken away the Dual/second knob functionally and at least gave us later builds the temp display on drivers side knob- Anyways just glad to finally have the truck ! They sent FITS with my ECO- Was not expecting it-

I guess there was not a 3-D printed temp read out knob with an appropriate chip in the FITS kit???? Personally, I would prefer the two temp display knobs for my Lariat scheduled to be delivered the first week of August. Of course, we are now at the stage of taking what we can get and trying to smile about it!! :)

Well, having an actual thermostat setting rather than just manual on/off for climate control is a nice advance over every vehicle I've owned before. I appreciate being able to set a threshold, but I don't much care where the setting is displayed. On the info screen is fine with me. Taking away the whole knob takes away the ability to set the level at all.

Even though it shows up on your screen anyways? Lol like its a redundant read out
According to other maverick owners it does not show when you use Apple car play. I am using Apple car play every time I drive my current car.

It does not show the temperature constantly. It only shows it when you adjust the temperature. While the temperature in the knob would show it without adjusting. Or the normal radio interface shows it without adjusting.
Again I agree this is something minor, however the hassle to add this afterwards and the price, I would ford either installs it for free or reduces the price.

There continues to be some ambiguity here. The 'temperature' shown on the right hand knob is a thermostat setting, not the ambient temperature as far as I can tell.

The outdoor ambient temperature appears at the top of the infotainment screen, to the right of the current time. It also appears in the top right corner of the status screen on the driver dash, between the speedometer and the hybrid power meter (which might be a tachometer in an ecoboost build, dunno.)

When you adjust the climate control thermostat, the setting is echoed to the infotainment screen for a brief time as well.

Owner's manual, which is poorly written and edited in my professional estimation, also gets ambiguous about this. However, it suggests that digital display of temperatures on both knobs is only present when there is dual climate control installed. I don't have that, so I can't speak to it.

Anyway, to see the current temperature outside, look at the dash display. To see the setting of the EATC (electronic automatic temperature control, or thermostat) look at the digital display on one or both knobs, or at the larger readout that appears on the audio/infotainment screen while adjusting the temperature setting knob.

I just picked up my Lariat Lux on Tuesday and it does NOT have the readout on either knob. I believe my build date was 5/23.

The center stack screen does show the temperature setting persistently, though. Driver side temp appears in the upper left corner and passenger temp shows in the upper right corner of the screen. It also pops a box in the middle of the screen whenever you turn one of the dials so you can see it large in the middle of the screen while turning the knob.

One thing that I do NOT like about it is, when I have Carplay going and the Carplay screen showing, the temperature readings do not show persistently. So, in order for me to see what temperature I have my HVAC set to, I need to twist the dial to see what it is set to.

Minor inconvenience, but I do plan on contacting my dealer to see if there is anything they can do to help me out.

My co-workers Bronco Sport Outer Banks has just the thermometer logo, no temp either. Built a month ago.
