Compared to the AWD, the hybrid tow is much less powerful.
I will have a boat (maybe less than 1000kg totally) after I get the Maverick. Should I go with AWD or hybrid?

The hybrid would be maxed out really especially if you count people and gear. Get a Ranger.

From Google.
Can the Ford Maverick hybrid tow a trailer?

The standard Ford Maverick tow capacity is 2,000 pounds. However, the amount doubles to 4,000 pounds with AWD models equipped with the turbo engine and a towing package. The package also includes an improved engine cooling system, trailer brake controller, hitch receiver, and a seven-pin wiring harness.

The OP's question was: Is the Hybrid Powerful enough to tow a Boat.
the answer is yes, it has plenty of power for 1000KG, you are just slightly over the tow rating.

I would not have too much fear of towing this weight depending on terrain, distance to the water, steepness of the boat ramp and how often you are planning on doing it. I towed a boat, 2100 lbs. with a 1974 4-cyclinder mustang for eight years. Did have to replace the clutch from slipping it so much on one steep ramp. Still have the boat and it still purrs like a kitten. Plan on towing with EB and no tow package.

2100 lbs, included trailer.

I would assume a trailer is needed (maybe?) add 500lbs (?) - puts you more than 'slightly' over the tow rating, never mind gear and misc. as mentioned - but to each their own

One thing to consider as I have owned a lot of trucks and a few boats, trailers, and campers

Total weight of your trucks and boat must be weighed with Passengers, fuel, engine, life jackets, cooler of beer, tackle, skies, and all the stuff you might be tempted to put in it OR in the truck

Look at all the weight ratios NOT just the towed item.

On you to look up GVWR

Ok, so hybrid is definitely not the option.

How long is a piece of string?

Are you going to tow 25 minutes on flat land? Sure, go for it.

Towing through the mountains of WV to the Outer Banks, no dice.

Going to the mountains for fishing is not my option.
After reading several posts here, I found The trouble is when launching or loading the boat in the water. The Maverick may not have enough weight and power.

It doesn't matter what others are saying in here. Do not exceed the maximum ratings of a vehicle.

Specific to your question, a 1,000kg boat is over limits by itself. Now add yourself, passengers, gear, and the trailer of the boat. Get the Ecoboost option and the 4K tow package if you are looking at the Maverick for your purposes.

I still think it depends on finding a ramp that does not have to steep an angle. However, considering less cost at purchase for a hybrid plus reduced fuel costs you probably could pay for a slip in a marina if you are going to a lake and still come out ahead and not have to drag your boat to the lake causing wear and tear on your vehicle. Your boat must not be too large and some marinas charge based on length of the boat.
