Just talked to my dealer, I ordered an XL on 11/10. My sales person is saying probably another 6 to 7 months if I still want the hybrid or I can change it to the ecoboost and probably get it in 2 or 3 months. thoughts?

Wait if you can and don’t need the capability of the Eco.

I think I'd call Long McArthur Ford and ask the Ford Video Guy what he recommends. My inclination would be to stick with the hybrid. Ford is the only game in town on hybrid trucks. You can always get a gas powered mini truck from Santa Cruz, or gas powered midsize trucks from lots of OEMs that get about the same MPG, but not the hybrid.

My dealer told me the other day that if I keep my hybrid Lariat build it will probably go to MY 2023. I have a better chance with eco-boost. I told him to change it if he must but not if I loose my early slot (ordered June 19). Of course, they have no allocations being a small dealership so I don't have any hope of ever getting any kind of Maverick.

If you want a Hybrid. Stand your ground otherwise you will likely not see a Mav until next winter.

If you change your order date gets reset.

Tonyfall1...If I were you I'd wait for the Hybrid. It is the hottest selling vehicle on the market right now. Once it arrives, if you did want to sell it you would be able to sell it and make several thousand dollars over what you paid if you buy from a reputable dealer. However, I don't think you'd want to sell it once you got it. It's a stellar vehicle that gets insanely positive reviews and no other manufacturer has anything to rival it. Be patient, like the rest of us, and you'll be glad you waited!

I doubt many, if any will get pushed to MY23. Hang in there, yours is an early order, as long as your dealer did everything right it should be ok.

my cousin and I ordered our trucks around the same time. mine 10/26 and his 11/1. Im hybrid and he the Eco. His truck is coming next week and I havent heard a single thing. He has joked several times to switch my order but I really like what the hybrid is offering. You picked the hybrid originally so think back to that decision making and hold out. There is always another thursday.

They assured me they did everything ok. It is "In order processing" status. I called Ford and they said everything is ok and they see it "in order processing".

While the hybrid will probably take longer, don't think the EcoBoost would be an automatic scheduling. I ordered early Oct - XL EcoBoost and even dropped the SIBL after about a month and still not scheduled. Seems to me that dealer allotment is going to dictate more than time of order or even components. (I made the mistake of supporting local dealer)

I don't think you can order either at this point.

Did your dealer require a non refundable deposit? if they did not take a deposit, do NOT cancel/change your Hybrid order. Put in a separate order for a 2.0 (be quick though because ordering closes on the 27th from what I am hearing). That way you have options, depending on which comes first you can refuse or accept either. When that hybrid comes in, it will likely be worth $5000 to $10000 more than you pay for it at msrp.

My dealer did not require a deposit. I'm leaning towards just waiting it out for the hybrid.
