I wanted to take a moment to thank Tom and his team for a smooth truck ordering process. They delivered on every promise and I received the order confirmation from Ford that same afternoon. I look forward to all the production updates and the arrival of our new truck. Thanks again Tom.

I just got off the phone with another courteous delivery/drop ship Ford dealership here in North Carolina. It`s Green Ford in Greensboro, NC and the fleet manger Joey Towsley said he would charge $200 for this service at his dealership if anyone would want to have there Maverick sent to him. If you would like to call and talk with him about the service he said please do. His phone number is 336-340-7761

Has anyone arranged a dropship with a dealer in Atlanta? I did find a Ford fleet dealer in Gwinnett that looks to be a good candidate but have not spoken with them yet. No sense in reinventing the wheel if someone has a good option.

Thanks

Bob

For those of you doing CD’s is the dealership filling the tank for the price they are charging you? I thought I read that Ford reimburses the dealership to fill the tank when they do the PDI before the customer takes delivery of the vehicle.

Yes, both local CD's I have talked to say they are ensuring full tank as part of the price they quoted me (both $300)

The CD that I spoke with yesterday said that the dealership that I bought it from had charge me for the fill up when they sold it to me and they the CD would not take care of the gas fill up. He said that dealer had already been paid for it not the CD. Here is a picture of the charge for $57.42 on my invoice from Chapman Ford. I guess we need to have Tom chime in on this question on who will pay for the fill up since we had paid him for it already . Thanks

If you look at your invoice from where you got your quote from a Ford dealership look down and you will see where you are paying for the gas fill up. Ford is NOT reimburses anyone. You bought the gas when you paid for the vehicle.

Burst my balloon? Lol I simply asked a question. I haven’t arraigned a CD with any dealer yet. Just wanting to find out who pays for the fuel. Pretty simple question.

To give an idea of what are the fees for a courtesy delivery in my area:

1. PDI - paid for by Ford
2. Courtesy delivery fee - $ 295.00
3. Full professional detailing (exterior/interior) - $ 45.00.
4. Fill gas tank - actual cost at Speedway. Currently they are at $ 2.95 per gallon.
5. Registration - assuming Massachusetts actual cost no markup.
6. Sales taxes - assuming Massachusetts actual amount due with no markup.
7. Massachusetts safety inspection sticker - $ 35.00 passenger plates or commercial plates up to 10,000 pounds. No markup.
8. Commercial vehicle upfit if required (ladder racks, etc.) $ 135.00 per service hour.

There is no "Ford" involved here. there are just dealers.
The gas is paid where the delivery occurs. so I assume the dealer Chapman will reimburse the gas he added in teh quote when the delivery is done using a CD. He adds that line because he does not know yet who will pick it up locally and who will be transport it using the Courtesy Delivery.
I assume similar to what would happen to registration fees when it is not registered in Pennsylvania

I don`t understand when you say (paid for by Ford), when you the buyer paying for the vehicle they charge you a fuel charge for fill up. Ford is not paying the cost for the fuel in the vehicle, you the buyer has paid to have it filled up. Just like you the buyer is paying for that vehicle to be ship to you $1,495, not Ford.
