In production or not?

Below is a screen shot I took from the Ford tracking page. I received an original build date of Dec 13, but a week later I received another email changing the date to Jan 3rd. The Ford tracking page now says that my Maverick is in production, and it says to check out the window sticker provided. The problem is that the window sticker, apparently, still not up yet. This forum's tracking currently does not work, and I have not received notification via email from Ford that my Maverick is, indeed, in production. The last email I received was the change in build date to Jan 3rd. I checked my spam but nothing. I wonder what is going on. Is my truck in production or not, or is Ford's site just going by the original build week of Dec 13 (today) and not updating to Jan 3rd and just assuming that it is in production based on the original build week?

At least you have a Schedule date. Most of us are still on step 1.
Ford Maverick In production or not? Captur

If it is any consolation, if the date gets pushed back it may be because Ford is trying to make it right the first time. So when we all finally get our trucks, they will have worked out the kinks and you will get a fine piece of hardware!

I'm not looking for consolation. I just don't know what to make of the Ford tracking page or whether to believe what it is saying considering the window sticker isn't yet available and I have not received an email from Ford. I've been waiting patiently just like everybody else, and I hope those that ordered before me get their build dates soon.

I believe you will get an email from Ford for only the following 4 steps:
1. Order Confirmed
2. Scheduled for Production
3. Built
4. Shipped

I don’t believe you will get an In Production email from Ford.

Once you can pull up your window sticker you can check the blend date

But what about an email stating that my build date was changed back to Dec 13? They should have at least done that. Couple that with the fact that a window sticker has not been produced yet makes me think that my vehicle is not actually in production as the tracker says.

Sadly I can't put much faith in the tracking, my vehicle was scheduled for last week 12/6, saw nothing updated on the tracking page M-W then my order # & VIN wouldn't return any results until this morning info worked again, but no change in status

Email from Ford ~ 30 minutes ago says by build has been rescheduled for the week of 12/20.

So being Scheduled probably needs to have some * added to their emails

* All build dates are tentative and are subject to change without notice.

** Ford may notify you of Schedule changes at Ford's discretion.

I didn't get a Production email. But it did move into In Production in the tracker. Mine also was delayed once, but I didn't get an email saying it moved up a week early from the last delay date. This is good news. Your vehicle is in production.

'In Production' is a vague term. Mine started showing that status the week before my actual build week. The upcoming holidays may be playing a role, too.

Actually, the whole tracker system is beyond vague. But, while you're being given some insight into which part of the process your vehicle is in, you won't be able to track it in detail the way you can track a package from UPS.

Apparently, after looking at one of Johnny's Car Care videos on Youtube, the build dates get scrambled around a lot. I have a friend that ordered a Hybrid they was scheduled to be built mid December, only now to find it is in San Antonio, she lives in Austin.

Unfortunately until you get a window sticker it is most probably not in production - Yet. The best way to find out the actual status of your truck is to ask you salesperson to look at the Vehicle Visibility report. That report will tell you exactly where in the build process your truck is. My build date was 11/29 and I had a window sticker on 11/26. Mine has shown in production on 12/06 on the Ford tracking page, but the vehicle visibility report shows that it was in the body shop on 12/03 and went down the trim line on 12/06. However, I still have not gotten a built email or built date on the website.

I was certainly not expecting tracking as in your vehicle is on this line or in this process, heck FedEx and UPS are only giving you tracking based on where the container that has your package is most of the time, but was expecting something more like the dentist, doctor, or service provider that once you schedule an appointment, you can count on that and if there is some conflict in their schedule you get contacted before the appointment not a week after it was supposed to happen saying we moved it on you.

With the whole "Your Ford Your Way" you'd hope for a little more involvement in what is going on or at least something more that silence allowing you to think everything is moving along only to find out nothing happened and now it has been pushed back.

Being in a service position, I know it isn't fun to notify people of delays, but it isn't hard either if all you have to do is send an email in this case.

Yes you are in production.

I received the same In Production status with the "In Production" Dotted.

What this means is that your order has been sent to the plant and they are gathering what is needed to produce it.

Within a day or so you will be able to see your window sticker and on the bottom will be the blend date.

My "In Production" went like this:

11/22 - In Production Ford email, Visibility Report: Sent to Plant
11/24 - Visibility Report: Body Shop
11/25 - Visibility Report: Trim Line

11/25 - was Thanksgiving so nothing else happened until Monday 11/29

11/29 - Ford status page: Shows "In Production" with a date now showing of 11/29
11/29 - Modules became active
11/30 - Ford email: Your Maverick has been built

Mine says in production 10-28-21. Estimated date of delivery 1-3-22
ford (detroit) says it has been built for awhile and should show up between Christmas and New Years The page hasn't been up for days. Ford dealer said by 12-9-21. They don’t know shit. I think they were sitting until they got the updated battery and then shipping out.
