I’ve said it before, (and having owned everything from this to a 3500 Cummins 4x4 dually I feel qualified) these little trucks will do 95% of what a normal guy needs a truck for. Sure, they have their limits, but this is the handiest vehicle I’ve ever owned. 2024 XLT with 11k miles. Zero issues sans the turd of a backup camera.

😯 You're using your Maverick as a truck??
I'm guessing you don't have wall to wall carpeting lining the bed😂😂

I ordered a bed rug, just the flat portion one not the walls, and my first thought was "this will be really nice for hauling mulch or rocks to keep the stuff out of the crack between the bed and tailgate" LOL :p

ncarter124 what brand is your trifold? I miss having the support rods up front. My current trifold does not.

Lol nope. I have seen guys with these but I just have the standard drop-in liner from Ford.

I figured it would be worse, but maybe not. This was from having a tree taken down and 3 total stumps ground down, so yeah basically mulch. I just hosed it out when I was done.

It's a Rough Country. I learned a lesson on that by starting out with a cheaper roll-up one and I just hated it. I had one from the same brand years ago on a 2016 Ram and I liked it then, but not on the Maverick. I think it was $600ish and it was just worth the money IMO. Here is a pic of it closed.

I thought so. Thats the same one i had on my f250 and i did like it a lot. Im happy with the one i have i just really miss the struts. If i wanna get the front section out of the way i have to remove the whole thing. Not difficult just inconvenient

Although I have never owned a vehicle w/Cummins Diesel I agree 110% that my Mav hybrid does the majority of what I need while displaying 47+mpg doing it, [probably closer to 45+ if I adjust the engineering test mode to reflect calculated mpg]

Regarding hauling mulch, did you get the cover for the slot on the lower part of your tailgate? You can even use tape but it prevents debris from lodging inside the lower edge of the tailgate which holds moisture, leading to rust. Just a suggestion: See below

im not sure if mine has that cover or not, but I’d think that cover would make it hold moisture. I don’t really worry about rust, I always trade vehicles at about 30k miles or before.

It's a known issue / design flaw and there have been a few posts where so much water got up in the tailgate that it damaged the reverse camera.
