Well, put in an AGM battery and lo and behold I rarely if ever get the battery save mode anymore in my 2024 hybrid lariat. I'm sure there are ways to optimize the situation but so far, I'm plenty pleased. I had the dealer replace the battery (charged $75) and given how long it took and the complaints I heard from the team on what a PITA it is, glad I spent that money. Got the battery from Amazon for <$200. Too bad Ford just didn't go that route to start with.

When was it put in?

And what size battery did you get that made it difficult?
H4 is direct replacement used with AGM's mostly.

I replaced the OEM battery on my hybrid with an AGM about a year ago and have not had any deep sleep issues. Seems Ford finally figured it out by putting them in the 2025 models.

So, it's been in the car about a week and prior to that it was going into battery save virtually every time I drove it. Admittedly I mainly drive in town and <15 minutes each time. As for the install, the comment from the dealer was that despite the exact fir replacement, the placement under the seat made access super difficult.

2025 hybrids, which came with an AGM-type 12v battery, are also having the deep sleep battery problem. Not the solution.

Oh only a week!
Any new battery would be a solution for only a week.
Give it some time before you declare victory!

I guess they were complaining about just not being under the hood wide open - 10 min repair.
Because a long extension and a magnet head really make the underseat / tight fit not that bad.
But it still will take longer. And scratch your hands probably.

The dealer just wanted you to feel good about paying them to install it. Hope they did the reset!

Then the dealer is either incompetent or just trying to justify charging 75 bucks for a 15 minute job?

I preemptively changed my battery to an AGM last year. It was not at all difficult to change. There are plenty of threads on here about what tools you need to have ready in advance.

You need to get a better dealer. Access under the seat is very easy with normal mechanic's tools. Its a 10-minute job to change the battery, and another 5 to reset the BMS.

My 2024 Hybrid also needed a new battery at 4000 miles. Was getting deep sleep issue, took it into dealer checked and said the battery was bad and replaced it (non-AGM). Been fine since, now at about 5500 miles.

Had dealer put in a Ford AGM with reset on my '22 Hybrid, drove 600 miles (during which battery fluctuated betwixt 89-91% state of charge), went away for 9 days and vehicle was totally dark when we returned. However, doors unlocked and it started fine. Cannot remember state of charge, but it was much lower. .Until whatever is causing parasitic draw is discovered and corrected, I think most of us will continue to haunt this board seeking resolution.

Have you had SSM53801 done, to reprogramme the A/C unit to eliminate the parasitic draw?
