About 50/50 highway and two lane. The last day had a lot more idling as there was some time to kill without a hotel and 90 degrees meant AC was needed.
We did not top off before leaving. But 49 miles into the trip, we stopped for gas and topped off.
Drove around Northern Michigan.
So the first tank wasn't always leisurely. Bought 12.7 gallons to top it off a little earlier since the price was going up the further north we were heading.
Just look at that miles to empty calculation.... (the last couple hundred miles were a bit more leisurely than the almost all freeway driving at the start)
Didn't do photos of the next fill-up because it was late at night and forgot. Was 13.08 gallons at $4.999/g.
And that was it. Got home and it's sitting in the driveway with 36mi to E on it.
So from the time we topped it off 49 miles into our trip until the we got home, was 1,508 miles. Bought 25.8g and probably about 13-13.5g to be bought. Even if it's the full 14, that's 39.8g for 1,508 miles. Or roughly 37.88mpg.
